I enjoyed this role for one year while using the opportunities to work across different types of venues so that I could diversify my skill set.
The role was defined by being the face of the venue by liaising with customers and suppliers alike while also promoting the business online with a thoroughly planned digital strategy.
I would plan the social media content alongside events and product focuses monthly. I would also report the outcomes of these campaigns monthly. During my time at the Fox & Anchor and The Vestry, Farringdon, I grew the audience by 73% as an average across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
By creating content for a variety of businesses, I am apt in pinpointing the target audience for the business and tailoring the content accordingly using the correct tone of voice.
At Old Ship, Hammersmith, I grew the email database in accordance with the GDPR guidelines by 30%, the highest outcome for our operations. I combined the power of social media & my personal presence at encouraging sign-ups.
My twice-monthly business to customer mailers were planned quarterly and the analytics of these were also included in monthly content reports using data from the analytics reports on our customer and content management system.
I would organise an events calendar for the pubs quarterly as well as managing the bookings diary for private hire events. These events could be anything from getting suppliers to offer product samples or organising a wine and food pairing.
I improved public relations by hosting a variety of business showcases such as our cocktail bars birthday celebrations, PA events & Christmas showcases.
This hard work paid off when I was rewarded for meeting my sales target for the Christmas period in 2018, which was exceeding our goal of £60k net for the peak week in December.
