I look after the marketing strategy for Cityglen Pub Co’s portfolio of six South-East London based pubs.
I have taken the lead + planned the pub groups strategy for the next 12-24 months, taking a main focus on ensuring all pubs are maximising the use of their bookings platform (Collins, DesignMyNight) to drive pre-booked sales, particularly those for functions + private hire.
Another focus has been to create an online presence for the central company that did not exist prior to me joining the company as well as optimising the digital presence of the individual pubs.
I have also begun a project of putting a formal drinks strategy in place for all the pubs by launching new accounts for them, offering guidance in how to optimise the tasty tipples they offer behind their bar + organising team training across all products from our suppliers.
I interact with the management of the pub teams on an almost daily basis while having monthly marketing meetings with them where I assist them in planning events for their sites 3 months ahead of time. The pubs have their individuality while there is my guiding hand that links them and creates an overall strategy for the pub company.
